Rates Effective Jan 2008

Below are the more common skills available from WorkNow! with their corresponding recommended daily rates. Full time rates are to be negotiated between employer and employee.  Rates are based on a day’s work (7 hours of labour, 1 hour break).  Should you require any specialist services, we will be happy to source the necessary candidates for you, where possible.

INDUSTRIAL

Labourer/general worker - R120

Painter (junior) with no tools - R175

Painter (senior) with tools/drop sheets etc - R275

Bricklayer - R275

Plasterer - R275

Paver - R275

Tiler - R275

Stonemason - R275

Electrical Assistant - R275

Plumbing Assistant - R275

Handyman - R275

Welder - R275

Carpenter - R275

Seamstress   (negotiable depending on requirements) - R165

DOMESTIC

Domestic cleaner - R120

Childminder - R120

Gardener - R120

Guards (with certification) – rates dependent on requirements such as hours of work

Part time domestic rates:  Minimum half day: ie 4 hours

Childminder/babysitter      R18 per hour or part thereof

Ironer                             R18 per hour or part thereof

OFFICE AND RELATED

Typist/admin assistant/receptionist - R160

Data capturer - R160

Driver - R150

Pamphlet distributor/messenger - R120

RESTAURANT, HOTEL, CATERING

Staff are available to assist as barmen, “runners”, counter hands, waitrons, grillers etc.  Rates are negotiable as hours worked are not standard, daily 8 hour periods.

Cashier/shop assistant - R160
